Downham Home and Garden Store is hosting a day of celebrations on Friday as the Christmas department is officially opened. Customers can enjoy 15pc off the Christmas department on opening day(Image: Downham Home and Garden Store)Celebrations will run all day, including live performances as Hillcrest Primary School kicks off the day at 11am, followed by Denver Primary School at 4pm. A spokeswoman for the centre said: "We’re a small, family-owned, independent garden centre. "Over the festive season, the garden centre and restaurant will be hosting a variety of Christmas events, from wreath-making workshops to Christmas party nights and New Year's Eve.
