Terrill, Associated Press file photo) APA lawsuit against legendary grunge-rock band Nirvana has been tossed after a judge rejected a man’s claim that the cover of its first album was equivalent to child sexual abuse. “Neither the pose, focal point, setting, nor overall context suggest the album cover features sexually explicit conduct,” Olguin’s ruling says. “Plaintiff has, for many years, embraced and financially benefited from being featured on the album cover,” Olguin says in the ruling. “Plaintiff’s actions … are difficult to square with his contentions that the album cover constitutes child pornography.”“Nevermind” sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and instantly made Nirvana one of the most popular bands in the world. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
