The mass strike was organised by Greece’s largest public and private trade unions, and disrupted taxis, trains, trolleys, ferries, schools, hospitals, other public services, and of course, flights, stranding thousands of Brits at the airport. The brunt of the strike took place in two main hubs of Greece, Athens and Thessaloniki. Notwithstanding, the new draft law is being called “slavery” and “a monstrous bill” by the already-fed-up citizens of Greece. Why would that be antisocial?”As of now, the minimum wage in Greece is among the lowest in the European Union, standing at around €880 per month.
