New York State is asking hunters to send them a tooth from the bear that they shoot this season. The deer and bear season started for archery hunters and the weather has been great! According to a report from the New York State DEC on it's website, the teeth will help biologists. "Attention Bear Hunters: DEC would like to collect a tooth from your harvested bear to determine its age. Legally, New York State hunters are required to report any deer or bear kill within 7 days of taking them.
