Kay Clark, Morton in the Community's heritage officer, explained: "Morton in the Community have managed to secure funding from Heritage Lottery Fund worth £156,000 for a project called 'Mon Eh Ton'.
"They'll probably have a good story to tell - why they were there, who got them into Morton, and their favourite Morton memories.
"Everything we do for the Heritage Lottery Fund has got to be free and accessible to the wider community.
Morton in the Community chief exec Brian McLaughlin previously hailed the project as identity, memory, and connection.
"In terms of the wider timeline, we're keen to use library archives and online resources to carry out further research and hopefully find out things we don't yet know about.
