Kevin Oliver, 36, pushed his way into the victim’s house in Whittlesey at about midnight on April 20 and began accusing her of talking to another man. He threatened to burn her alive and demanded she give him her mobile phone. Fearing for her life, the victim ran to the back of the house, but Oliver blocked her and slammed her to the floor. She tried to run to the front door, but Oliver blocked her again and had also picked up a hammer from the kitchen. Terrified, the victim handed over the phone just before officers arrived and arrested Oliver.
