The cushions, which were personally designed and executed by Queen Margrethe, are based on the crowned monograms of the reigning royal couple: ‘FF X’ for His Majesty King Frederik X and an elegant red ‘M’ for Her Majesty Queen Mary. The pieces were presented in an intimate ceremony at Frederiksborg Palace, which houses the Museum of National History. The gifts, which are now part of the permanent collection, were revealed on the official Danish royal family Instagram account.
