This year, the park welcomed four greater bamboo lemur babies, making them the only zoo in the UK to breed the "critically endangered" species. This accomplishment makes the park home to the largest breeding group of greater bamboo lemurs in the world, with a total of 13 individuals. She said: "The Greater Bamboo Lemur is one of the most endangered species of Lemur, found only in the rainforests of eastern Madagascar. The park also saw successful breeding across other species, including the great grey owls, Humboldt penguins, and yellow mongooses. The Humboldt penguins had their most successful breeding season in a decade, with four chicks added to the colony.
