The sub-committee had earlier directed LDI operators to constitute a three-member committee to present their case, but officials noted that the directive was ignored. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) representatives informed lawmakers that six LDI operators, despite being issued determination letters, had sought stay orders from courts. Representatives of the LDI operators told the committee that the courts had instructed the matter to be referred to the Telecom Tribunal. PTA officials maintained that a proposal has been prepared in response to the differing views from LDI operators. He further instructed that all nine LDI operators be asked in writing to clarify how they intend to deposit the principal sum.
