The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and believe in the nation’s potential for greatness, despite current economic and security challenges. Speaking at the 65th Independence Day celebration at Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, Governor Soludo framed the occasion as both a celebration of national heritage and a “sober reflection” on the country’s journey since 1960. In a speech that balanced realism with optimism, the governor acknowledged the “pressing issues of insecurity and economic strains” but emphasized that Nigeria’s “greatest resource is its people.”“Notwithstanding the challenges, our greatest resource is our people. Invest in people, invest in the future,” Governor Soludo stated. Striking a notable tone of support for the federal government, Governor Soludo specifically praised President Bola Tinubu for implementing a series of bold economic reforms.
