The worst-rated Croydon shops, takeaways and care homes for food hygiene
['Amy Clarke']
Your Local Guardian | News
Between July and September, environmental health officers visited food premises across the borough, handing out ratings based on food handling, cleanliness and safety standards.
Two businesses were given a hygiene score of 0, meaning urgent improvement is necessary.
The ratings follow inspections by Croydon Council under the Food Standards Agency’s national scheme.
Scores range from 0 requiring urgent improvement to 5, which reflects very good hygiene standards.
The rating does not reflect food quality, customer service or presentation, but focuses purely on hygiene, cleanliness and food safety management.
