The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 94-year-old woman in the Town of Venice on Tuesday afternoon. Deputies say the crash happened around 2:19 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the intersection of Route 34B and Poplar Ridge Road. The car was then struck by a northbound dump truck on Route 34B. Multiple agencies assisted at the crash site, including New York State Police, Cayuga County 911, the Coroner’s Office, local ambulance services, and several fire departments.
