Jamaican man on work visa charged in Cayuga Co. child sex investigation

A man was arrested after investigators looked into reports of sexual contact involving a child in the town of Ledyard.
Romar Ramando Stone, a Jamaican national in the U.S. on a temporary work visa, was taken into custody September 26 after detectives linked him to an alleged sex offense involving an adolescent, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division worked with the Cayuga County Child Advocacy Center to assess the extent of the abuse.
He was arraigned in CAP court and held at the Cayuga County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
