Clinton Township political foes agree on call for unity against political violence

Following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Clinton Township’s local elected officials have gone on record condemning political violence and calling for unity.
The Clinton Township Board of Trustee on Monday unanimously approved a resolution denouncing political violence.
“We have to let this violence go,” said first-term Trustee Shannon King, a former Chippewa Valley school board member.
“Political violence is masked men raiding churches and schools going after kids, and we have our president putting it online and showing videos of him blowing up boats with people on board, vaporizing them,” Bushell said.
The Clinton Township board also held a moment of silence in observance of the death of Robert “Bob” Smolinski, a custodian for the township’s Department of Public Works.
