Tatyana Vassilyeva, 47, donned a kilted skirt she had made herself to take part in the 11.3-mile Big Stroll. She chose the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Tartan to make her Kiltwalk debut on Sunday. She works for Kinloch Anderson, based in Leith, and has been making handmade kilts for more than five years. She chose St Columba’s Hospice Care as her charity because of its “tremendous work” with palliative and end-of-life care. The tartan she wore was chosen and approved by the Queen in 2022.
