Down Memory Lane: The drapery shops of East Lothian
['Isla Aitken']
East Lothian Courier | News
These shops, originating in the 19th century, sold fabrics and linens for custom-made clothing, before mass production and off-the-peg fashion became the norm.
Some were small shops, while some were large departments in stores such as The Co-operative.
