The Lighthouse Art Trail follows the success of The Big Hare Trail in 2021, when giant statues of the animals brought people to the area and raised a total of £115,000. The 15 sculptures, to celebrate Leuchie's 15th anniversary, will be uniquely decorated, each designed and painted by a local artist. The trail will offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about Leuchie’s work and the people it supports. An auction will be held at the end of the trail and each lighthouse will be sold to the highest bidder. The trail is being delivered by Wild in Art, which has worked on similar projects across Scotland including the Oor Wullie Bucket Trail.
