Lothian has appointed Sarah Boyd as its new chief executive to oversee the integration of Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams. Ms Boyd, previously managing director of Lothian Buses since 2022, brings extensive experience in transport operations, people management and finance. Lea Harrison, managing director of Edinburgh Trams, will remain in his post until the end of January to support the early stages of the transition. "My thanks also go to Lea Harrison, the outgoing managing director of Edinburgh Trams, along with the other tram board members for their service over the years. The changes are part of a broader effort to deliver a more cohesive, customer-focused public transport system.
