The Golf Tavern in Haddington has been a popular drinking hole for people but doors were locked for the last time on Sunday. The business had been on the market for more than five years and will now be transformed after Lamp House Music was given permission to take over the premises. He noted that The Golf Tavern first appeared on a town map in 1894, although the building appears 40 years before that. Lamp House Music is currently based off the town’s Hospital Road. A spokesperson for the music school said: “It would be a wonderful start to the new year with all lessons up and running.
