Congressman James E. Clyburn speak locally on Sunday, April 27. Clyburn will preach about his faith and public service as a guest speaker at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. When Democrats regained the House majority in 2006, Congressman Clyburn was elevated by his colleagues to House Majority Whip. While Congressman Clyburn’s visit is not a part of the church’s Moon Lectures, the series has brought a number of nationally prominent African Americans to speak locally. St. Mark’s is located at 2391 St. Mark’s Way.
