A Yorktown Heights beauty boutique is accusing a former client of extortion. Korin & Nasdly Esthetic sued Clelin Caporuscio in Westchester Supreme Court on Sept. 15 over purported threats to sue the boutique for medical malpractice. Then on Aug. 15, a lawyer sent a letter threatening to sue the boutique. The complaint states that the accusations amount to slander and to attempted extortion by falsely attributing medical malpractice suffered in another country. Korin & Nasdly is asking the court to declare that Caporuscio slandered the beauty boutique in furtherance of an extortion, to prohibit slandering, and to award unspecified monetary damages.
