The Very Reverend John Witcombe, Coventry Cathedral's Dean, announced he will retire on May 31, 2026. Dean John has held the position for nearly 13 years since January 2012 and will have served 42 years in ordained ministry. Bishop Sophie added, "It has been my pleasure to get to know Dean John during the process of my appointment as the new Bishop of Coventry.
