A spokesperson for Rayleigh Recycling Centre said: “For the attention of Rayleigh residents and those in the surrounding areas. “Rayleigh Recycling Centre is currently closed due to a fire on site, so it will not be open this morning. “If you have made a booking to visit Rayleigh Recycling Centre, your booking will be accepted at a later time or at an alternative site.”A fresh update issued earlier this afternoon stated that recycling would be open by 3pm.
