Sam Wheatley, 26, of Bosworth Road in Dagenham, appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Monday (September 22) by prison video link. The first alleged that he stalked a woman in Thurrock, causing her to fear violence, between May and Augus 2025. The second charge alleged that he had threatened to share a photograph or film showing a person in an intimate state – a charge more commonly known as revenge porn. The third charge alleged that on July 31, knowing the woman was a potential witness against him, messaged a third party and asked them to tell the woman to drop the case. After denying all three charges, Mr Wheatley was ordered to remain remanded in custody until he faces trial in February 2026.
