Orange Walk J’ouvert Death Case to Be Forwarded to DPPPolice have confirmed the death of 22-year-old Axel Carrillo, who lost his life at a pre-carnival J’ouvert celebration in Orange Walk on Sunday morning, September 21. Carrillo was originally from Orange Walk but had been living in San Pedro. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, confirmed that Carillo fell from a moving truck that was carrying music systems “when he [Carillo] fell, and the truck ran over him.” According to Romero, the truck was being driven by Elias Cowo. Romero confirmed that the case will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Meanwhile, the Suga City J’ouvert – Juvee extended their condolences in a social media statement the same day of the incident.
