Bus Driver Charged After Fatal Ladyville AccidentBus driver Phillip Sutherland from Lord’s Bank has been formally arrested and charged for the fatal road traffic accident that claimed the life of 38-year-old Gabriel Mai. The incident happened just before eleven o’clock on Sunday morning, September 21, along Marage Road in Ladyville. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Hilberto Romero, confirmed that Sutherland was charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention. The unlicensed bus he was driving has also been impounded. According to police investigation, Mai had earlier been socialising at a house where alcohol was being consumed.
