Cayo Man Charged in Double Murder One Year LaterPolice have arrested and charged 29-year-old construction worker Akeem Alfred Richards of Cayo with two counts of murder. The arrest comes more than a year after the deadly shooting of Clint Castillo and Andrew Muns in Cotton Tree Village. Both men were shot multiple times near the village’s primary school, at a time when Cotton Tree was under a State of Emergency due to rising crime. Castillo died the day after the incident; meanwhile, Muns was critically injured and paralysed. Police had earlier charged 23-year-old Jamal Hyde for allegedly supplying the firearm used in the killings.
