TROUP — A woman connected to a suspected puppy mill in Troup has died, authorities confirmed. On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said the woman linked to the operation has died. Smith County Sheriff’s Office deputies joined UT Health EMS, Arp Fire Department and Smith County Emergency Services District No. They are now receiving adequate food, water, health care and human interaction, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators are actively investigating this case which appears to be a puppy mill, the sheriff’s office said.
