WATERVILLE — A Waterville man was injured late Friday when he was struck by a car while reportedly sitting in the road in the dark near Elm and Spring streets. He was taken to Thayer Center for Health on North Street and then flown by LifeFlight to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland. “Mark was transported by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries but not life-threatening injuries. Asked why Meserve was sitting in the road in the dark, Longley responded in an email that police were not releasing further details at this time. A voice message left at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center’s communications and marketing department Monday seeking information on Meserve’s condition was not immediately returned.
