Effective August 1, 2025, 6 new research institutions – the University of Manchester, University of Nottingham, Newcastle University, University of Leeds, University of Southampton, and University of Warwick – have joined this collaborative agreement. For researchers affiliated with participating institutions, the flat-fee agreement eliminates Article Processing Charges (APCs), simplifying the publication process and removing financial barriers to open access publishing in JMIR’s portfolio of over 30 Gold Open Access journals.
