In a mission aimed at enabling a smooth and successful meeting, Old Mutual Malawi Limited has injected K6 million to the Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) which will go towards its upcoming two-day lake conference scheduled for October 2-4 2025 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi. The event which will have both local and international keynote speakers from the insurance industry will be held under the theme; Innovative, Adapt, Thrive: Survival of Insurance in Malawi in the Age of Global Disruptions. Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony in Blantyre, Old Mutual Malawi Human Capital Executive, Rex Kadzongwe highlighted that the sponsorship symbolizes the appreciation to the great role that IIM plays in contributing to the insurance sector. Kawelele said the support will go along way in making sure that the institution host a fruitful conference. Meanwhile, Old Mutual Malawi Group Chief Executive Officer, Tavona Biza will be one of the speakers at conference and he is expected to share knowledge and a bit of Old Mutual perspective in as far as the insurance sector is concerned in Malawi.
