Contra Costa County is looking for residents to help shape policy on hazardous materials and waste.
The county’s Hazardous Materials Commission announced it is seeking applicants for one environmental justice representative seat and one alternate seat.
The 14-member panel advises the Board of Supervisors and county staff on issues ranging from hazardous waste to community health risks.
Ideal candidates should live in Contra Costa communities affected by hazardous materials, represent community interests, and be committed to environmental justice, county officials said.
More information is available by contacting Adam Springer, staff to the commission, at (925) 655-3216 or Adam.Springer@cchealth.org.
