SALISBURY — A woman has been arrested after deputies said that she was illegally bringing tobacco products into the Rowan County Detention Center. Whitney Rebecca Bost was arrested on Wednesday and charged with one county of providing tobacco products to an inmate. According to a release from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, investigators obtained information that products were being introduced into the detention center and determined that Bost had sold cigarettes to an inmate following an investigation. Bost was employed by the food service vendor that provides daily meals to the inmates, according to the release. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center and given a $2,000 secured bond.
