Nancy Harvey Hunt, 66, of Meadville, died on September 23, 2025, at the Meadville Medical Center. Born October 29, 1958, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Charles and Virginia Roche Harvey. She married Carl (Bud) Hunt on April 29, 1978, and he preceded her in death in 2016. Nancy was employed at several manufacturing shops including, Atco Tool and most recently Geometric Design and Technology. Nancy loved to watch her granddaughters play softball. She was a dedicated volunteer in the concession stand for Cochranton Little League and also for softball tournaments at the Cochranton ballfields. In her younger days, she had a horse named Pistol that was a grand champion and won many blue ribbons at the Crawford County Fair. Recently, she enjoyed riding in the SxS with her companion of seven years, Gary "Shine" Loper, taking in the scenery of the back roads and counting the deer and ending up at Carl Joe's camp. Survivors include her son, Donald (Patty) Harvey of Cochranton; one brother, Clarence (Bud) Harvey of Cochranton; sister-in-law, Jean Harvey of Jamestown; two granddaughters, Hannah Harvey and fiancé Curtis Freyermuth, and Riley Harvey; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Sharon Karns Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Gill; her brothers, Stephen Harvey, Mike Harvey, John (Jack) Harvey; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Harvey. A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at the DICKSON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Friday, October 10, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. The Celebration of Life Service will be at 7:00pm, with the Rev. Curtis Brenizer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cochranton Youth League.
