The Donia Human Rights Center held a panel at the Michigan League Wednesday noon to discuss the hazards of reporting on human rights abuses, featuring two Knight-Wallace Fellows — journalists from around the globe pursuing a year-long program at the Wallace House Center for Journalists — talking about their experiences with reporting on international human rights abuses. In an interview with The Michigan Daily, Clemetson described the collaboration needed to make the panel possible. “The Wallace House Center for Journalists and the Knight Wallace Fellowships — we collaborate with units across campus all the time on events,” Clemetson said. “With so much media coming at us every day on our phones, through our devices, people are seeing more information,” Clemetson said. Knight-Wallace Fellow Rosem Morton, who also attended the panel, said the conversation resonated with her as a journalist with an international background.
