The charming inland community of Callington, which is known as 'proper Cornwall' to residents, has allegedly been plagued by drugs and criminal activity. Last week The Callington Town Council yard, located at the cemetery, was broken into with intruders cutting the power to the CCTV in order to gain access. It used to be so busy in the town with a regular market, now there is a Wednesday market and a monthly Sunday market in the town hall. “For me, opening a shop in Callington is like coming home, it’s a friendly community and there is an eagerness in many residents to improve things for the town.
