The Santa Barbara Chamber Players will present an evening of orchestral music, conducted by Daniel Gee, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at First United Methodist Church, 305 E. Anapamu St., Santa Barbara. The program features a diverse repertoire:• Ludwig van Beethoven – ‘Coriolan Overture”• Zoltán Kodály – “Summer Evening”• Sergei Prokofiev – “Classical Symphony”Westmont College will join the Chamber Players in Felix Mendelssohn’s “Verleih uns Frieden” and Joseph Haydn’s “Te Deum.”The concert will also showcase select high school students from the Santa Barbara area, performing alongside the Chamber Players. As a composer, he has written commissioned works for ensembles in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. A Westmont alumnus and Monroe Scholar, he earned his doctor of musical arts at USC Thornton School of Music. Tickets for the concert are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors and college students with ID, and free for students 18 and younger.
