PDP, in a statement issued in Osogbo yesterday and signed by the state chairman, Sunday Bisi, lamented the illegal directive. It claimed to have gathered authoritatively that the sacked chairmen in the 30 local councils gave the same instruction to the bank. He added that the sacked chairmen used non-council staff members as treasurers and co-signatories of the letters. Yet these people used individuals who are not local government staff to fill the nonexistent position of treasurer. One of those who signed the letter is a non-teaching staff member of a private polytechnic in the Boluwaduro Local Council of Osun.
