Dan Turley, who is well known for his work as a physiotherapist first took up parkrunning in 2015A west Belfast man will celebrate turning 70 by completing his 300th parkrun to raise money for St Vincent de Paul (SVP). “I’m ashamed to admit this as a physio, but I used to be a smoker,” explains Dan, who retired in 2022. “So I joined the Colin Glen parkrun as well as a walking group called the Glen Road Walkers. “I wasn’t massively convinced in the beginning – it took me around six or seven weeks before I could do a full run without stopping. “So when I realised that my 70th was going to fall around the same time as my 300th run, I thought it was too good an opportunity not to do something special.
