The two defending champions of North American football meet up on Wednesday night, as the Los Angeles Galaxy take on Toluca in the Campeones Cup. This year’s teams fighting it out for bragging rights are the L.A. Galaxy and Toluca. The Galaxy won the MLS Cup last year for a record sixth time, defeating the New York Red Bulls in a thrilling match. This is the first appearance for both clubs in the Campeones Cup. The Galaxy is trying to give the MLS its first win since New York City FC won the Cup in 2022.
