The announcement of the pending furlough comes just over four months after Spirit added six new nonstop routes out of Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). Detroit-based flight attendants won’t be the only affected. The same day the airline filed the WARN notice in Michigan, it announced it had plans to furlough 1,800 flight attendants nationwide before the end of the year, the AP reported.
