After watching the gameplay trailer for Square Enix’s upcoming murder-mystery live service title, Killer Inn, two thoughts came to mind. There is indeed an intriguing multiplayer murder-mystery lying at the core, but the systems built on top of that foundation are still in need of further tuning and development. One game with two very conflicting componentsThis version of Killer Inn felt like it was two games awkwardly crammed into one experience. There was effectively zero reason for either side to engage with the murder-mystery side of things in this build of Killer Inn.
