JEFFERSON — State Rep. Jay Dean brought good news to Marion County this week, announcing a $10 million state grant to provide needed upgrades to the county’s sewer and water infrastructure.
They have a lot of water and sewer infrastructure issues,” Dean said Monday after his presentation to Marion County commissioners.
“We were also able to procure and secure a grant through the Texas Water Development Board for $10 million for Marion County … and it will be for the upgrade and et cetera of water and sewer infrastructure in Marion County,” Dean announced to commissioners.
“So, when we (secured a grant to) provide infrastructure, for instance, one of the things we did was contact Brookshire’s.
“We’re going to be able to do a lot of good for the people of Marion County.
