Danish airport stops internal flights after cancelling contract with airline
[]
The Local Denmark
Denmark’s Midtjyllands Airport has terminated its contract with the airline which has most recently operated the airport’s domestic route between Karup and Copenhagen.
AdvertisementNo scheduled flights have operated between Midtjyllands Airport in Karup and Copenhagen Airport for around two months, and the service is not expected to return in the near future, regional media TV Midtvest reported.
That comes after the airport’s management decided to terminate its contract with Dutch airline AIS Airlines, which has most recently operated the small, domestic flight from central Jutland to Copenhagen.
A scheduled return to service on September 1st was later postponed to October 1st.
AIS took over flights between Karup and Copenhagen in September 2023 from Danish airline DAT.
