Good Boy debuted at SXSW earlier this year but did not gain traction until the trailer went viral online about a month ago. Online buzz does not necessarily equate to box office success, but the very positive reception thus far will likely do Good Boy some favors. They also occasionally release films theatrically, as is the case with Good Boy. Good Boy releases in theaters this weekend on October 3, so time will only tell if the film gains traction.
