PIPESTONE — The Southwest Minnesota Arts Council invites the public to celebrate the arts in southwest Minnesota and recognize the 2025 Prairie Disciple Award winner. He is the 2025 winner of the Prairie Disciple Award from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council. Contributed / Southwest Minnesota Arts CouncilThis year’s event will be held at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center, 104 E Main St. in Pipestone. After 38 years he retired or, as he states in his resume provided by the arts council, “repurposed” himself in 2016. The Prairie Disciple Award, including a $1,000 cash prize, is given to one southwest Minnesota artist every year, whose work has substantially contributed to the arts over their career.
