DULUTH — The next volume of Bob Dylan’s archival “Bootleg Series” will spotlight the star’s early years, dating all the way back to his Hibbing adolescence. One recording, from 1959, will mark a rare official release of a Dylan recording from his Northland youth. "The Bootleg Series Volume 18: Through the Open Window, 1956-1963" will be released Oct. 31. As a preview of the “Through the Open Window,” Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings released “Rocks and Gravel,” an outtake from the “Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” sessions in 1962.
