New funding targets tire reuse in New York
['Staff Report']
Fingerlakes1.com
A new round of state-backed funding could spark major changes in how New York handles millions of used tires.
The REMADE Institute® just opened a Request for Proposals (RFP) to find and fund innovative ways to reuse, remanufacture, or recycle end-of-life tires in the state.
The RFP is part of the ongoing New York State Waste Tire Program.
Projects don’t have to be based in New York, but they must partner with an in-state source of scrap tires.
More info and the full RFP are available at: Waste Tire Request for Proposals – REMADE Institute.
