AUSTIN, Minn. — The Austin Public Schools Board certified its maximum proposed tax levy during a work session Monday afternoon that's under a percentage point. Board members voted unanimously on an .82% increase that will take it from just over $11.4 million last year to just over $11.5 million. By setting the maximum levy increase at .82%, APS will have some flexibility going forward as the state continues adjustments on its end.
