ROCHESTER — The annual Chalk the Block event returns Saturday, Sept. 27, seeking to transform two Rochester locations into vibrant, community-built art spaces.
The free event aims to celebrate art and positive community-building by inviting local artists to create chalk murals and the public to attend and enjoy, while making connections.
Secondary Site: Downtown Rochester, Fourth Street SE and the Zumbro River, featuring four murals and a historical exhibit.
The event is presented by RNeighbors in partnership with the city of Rochester Mayor’s Office, Rochester Downtown Alliance, FCCLA Club from John Marshall High School, Olmsted County History Center, Riverside Central Elementary School and Rochester Local.
A full list of artists, partners, event details, and a video of last year’s event can be found on the RNeighbors website: https://www.rneighbors.org/events/chalk-the-block .
